How we work

Editorial policy

Last updated:

Sourcing

Brand names come from national regulator databases and official product information. Secondary sources such as pharmacy websites are used only to find candidates, never as proof.

Verification

A brand is marked verified only when the reviewer has confirmed it in the regulator database and recorded the source URL. The verification date is shown next to the brand.

Review cycle

Every medicine page is re-reviewed at least once a year, and sooner when a regulator announces a withdrawal, name change or new strength.

Corrections

Anyone can report an error. Reports are reviewed within 7 days. Confirmed errors are fixed and the page's review date is updated. Significant changes are listed in the changelog.

AI

AI is never used to create brand data, SEO pages or structured data. Optional AI explanations, when enabled, answer only from the reviewed database and are labelled as AI-generated.

Independence

Pillport shows no advertising and accepts no payment from manufacturers to list, rank or favour any brand.
